Despite the name Painnt is not (primarily) an art program. It's a digital canvas that lets you add text apply filters and otherwise dress up your photos. It sports some organizational features to help you play with your entire photo collection at once. Its primary draw is the more than 120 filters it provides which are simple to use and flexible in what they can do.
Also notable is that Painnt works quickly. Each time you apply a filter it renders the result in real time providing a useful preview. You can fine tune exactly how each filter applies to a photo letting you get better results from each individual filter and photo combination. Once you're done with all that it also lets you apply frames to your photos which work well with the filters and make your photos look that much more genuine... and potentially less digital! It even has a 'community' its own small social network of sorts where you can share photos and kibitz.
Give It A Shot
The only flaw is that Painnt again despite its name doesn't provide many ways to fine-tune your image post-editing. There are few to no drawing tools to be found here and even adding text is more-or-less part of the software's filtering and photo manipulation. This means you should absolutely try Painnt if you love to filter and tweak but think about it otherwise.
